How does IBL relate to our science curriculum?

Many teachers perceive a tension between using inquiry approaches in the classroom and covering the curriculum. However, we argue that IBL is important because it emphasises the processes of scientific thinking, which is promoted in most countries.

There are three tools to help the group address this professional question:

Tool IJ-3: The potential of IBL to promote key competencies

These tools will help the group consider the current demands of their curriculum and how IBL can help address these.
