Mascil introduces some new and distinctive ways for teachers to work together using an inquiry cycle that connects professional development with classroom practice. This involves:
- collaborative work as a teacher group to develop pedagogy.
- work with students in the classroom.
The domain, Ways of working, covers two key issues:
- Working with mascil resources (the professional development tools and the classroom materials).
- Working as a teacher group.
The advice given in each section is designed to support the group coordinator. Where appropriate there are professional development tools for the coordinator to use with their teacher group that will enable them explore the issues and address particular questions.
This toolkit is designed for use by a coordinator working with a group that will meet face-to-face. However, mascil also provides a version of the toolkit adapted for use at a distance for groups that cannot meet easily and will instead work using e-learning facilities. is suggested that as group coordinator you now read “Working with mascil resources“.
